SONY NW-ZX707 is the successor to the NW-ZX507, which also incorporates the technology of the NW-WM1AM2. The NW-ZX707 has an aluminum frame to keep it lightweight and to reduce electronic noise and interference.

The screen has been upgraded from 3.6" to 5" for a better operating experience. The new device is equipped with a USB 3.2 compatible USB-C port, which provides better file transfer and charging speed than ever before, as well as a 25-hour battery life. The internal structure has been significantly improved, with the four capacitors used in the balanced output amplifier circuit being upgraded from the previous FT CAP2 to FT CAP3, which helps to improve the sound performance and bring a softer sound.

The low-pass filter uses a larger 8mm coil, and the larger coil enables lower distortion and lower resistance. In addition, a newly developed large solid polymer capacitor is used to boost power assistance in the amplification block to prevent sudden voltage drops, helping to deliver the accurate signal output and clear vocal performance.
