Myrinx EL-S driver with high input resistance and high acoustic performance
The Myrinx EL-S driver is based on the Myrinx EL, but with a more precisely controlled diaphragm. acoustune developed the Myrinx EL driver for the RS ONE by leveraging its expertise in Myrinx drivers. The material used for the Myrinx EL-S is an ultra-high performance resin that is used in medical applications, but is lightweight, extremely rigid, and boasts extremely high acoustic performance with high internal loss. It reduces extraneous incidental sounds that adversely affect the sense of air and localization, and enables the fine monitoring of sound field and panning required by recent high-resolution sound sources. In addition, to take advantage of this Myrinx EL-S driver, a large back cavity behind the diaphragm is secured and the distance from the diaphragm to the grille is placed to achieve a high input resistance that can be used normally even after a momentary signal input of up to 250mW (*1). This provides a robustness that prevents the earphone speaker from breaking even in the event of a sudden large input. The large stroke width of the diaphragm brings out the bass as if it were a loudspeaker, providing the quality monitoring required for recent music.
*This is based on a sine wave signal test at 11 kHz.
Highly rugged body with high resistance to shock, heat, and perspiration
The body is made of two parts, the housing and the earphones, and is designed to be highly robust and resistant to shock, heat, and sweat. The housing consists of two parts and is made of polycarbonate with excellent shock, weather and heat resistance. By reducing the number of parts as much as possible, it is simpler and more rigid per part, greatly reducing the risk of failure even in harsh environments. The faceplate portion serves to increase the rigidity of the body while giving it an identity as an ear monitor. In addition, the housing design fits a wide range of users by making the body small.
The newly developed "ARM011L" earphone cable with high reliability and easy handling and the highly reliable Pentaconn Ear Long-Type are adopted.
The cable is made of high-purity Litz wire and Kevlar wire braided into a PU material coating for easy handling. The cable is twisted to make it flexible, easy to handle, and hard to break.
The new IEM connector "Pentaconn Ear" connector, designed and manufactured by Nihon Dics Corporation, boasts high sound quality and high reliability.
